Locust Post Brewery is a craft brewery and taproom tucked into the rolling, wooded hills of Allegany County, Maryland. Located in Little Orleans near the Appalachian Mountains, we offer a relaxed destination where fresh beer, scenic views, good food, and good company come together.

Our brewery gets its name from the sturdy Black Locust posts used as anchor poles for the hop bines growing in the fields beside our brewing facility and tasting room. That connection to the land is part of who we are. Locust Post Brewery was built around a simple idea: create quality beer in a setting that feels peaceful, welcoming, and rooted in the local community.

Our beer lineup is crafted by owner Tony Cornwell and Lincoln Wilkins, an award-winning brewer with 15 years of experience. Together, they produce a rotating variety of beers designed for both dedicated craft beer fans and casual visitors looking for something easy to enjoy. From crisp, refreshing pours to bold, flavorful brews, every beer is made with care, balance, and a focus on quality.

Inside the taproom, you’ll find a warm, friendly atmosphere with house-brewed beer, local wines, spirits, and simple food options that pair perfectly with a pint. Outside, the patio and wooded property offer room to relax, take in the mountain views, and enjoy the slower pace of Western Maryland.
